As a parent who loves Jesus and my child, Iām walking this path with my family.
Weāve navigated imperfectly. Weāve done some things well. We missed some things. Weāve had joys and pains, celebrations and hardships.
We have hurts. Our child has more.
Everyoneās carrying some collateral damage. Our church didnāt have resources for families like ours, and weāre left wondering how to hold onto the buckets of grace and truth, afraid of dropping one or the other.

I donāt know if weāll ever understand the amount of courage it took for our children to reveal the most vulnerable aspect of their livesĀ to us.Ā Thank you, child, for trusting your parents enough to share with them. (Even if it was messy, you did it!)
