Hi, I'm Kim - A Christian Mom of a Gay Son
And I can relate to exactly how you feel as a Christian parent of an LGBTQ+ child. Almost ten years ago, our son revealed his deeply held secret that he was gay. It was a hard day for all of us, and his revelation wasn’t easy or tidy. As a parent who loves Jesus and my LGBTQ+ child, we continue to walk this path together, but being suddenly catapulted into an unknown territory of parenting felt quite terrifying. We felt alone, afraid, and ill-equipped to navigate the uncharted waters.
We’ve navigated imperfectly, but we're thriving.  We’ve done some things well and made mistakes along the way. Our journey with our gay son has led us through twists and turns, hardships and joys, sorrows and celebrations. . . but more importantly,
we’re thriving with our faith
and our family intact.
